News from the Apotheca...
Good Evening!
I hope this newsletter finds you well. Almost all of you on my subscribers list came to me from my time at Substack. Just to refresh your memory, I started blogging as, "Holy Meadow" then I changed all that to, "Apotheca Unicornis."
Over the past several months I have really begun to rethink my use of social media (again). My next blog post is partially about this and will be published soon. I'm aware that there is much good that can be achieved with Social Media platforms, but I am also in a position as a Police Officers wife to see the dark side of social media sites and their horrific effects on people and most especially children.
Where does leaving Substack come into this? Well, it's just that that they have become more of a social media site than newsletter/blog platform these days. So I have gone 'old school' and begun blogging on a self hosted WordPress site. I like that I have a lot more creative freedom in the design of the site too and have had a lot of fun with it. Speaking of design, most all website templates have a space for your social media icons. Well I made this to use instead:
As for my newsletters? I am going to give Kit a try for a time. I know several others who use Kit and they seem to love it.
I will leave you with that for now and I truly pray for a joyful and, peaceful and Holy Spirit led year to you all!
